Which night is bigger?
So over the past year or so I have noticed that Thursday nights are getting bigger and bigger. I think that each week the Thursday events keep getting better and better. Pushing aside Friday and Saturday nights.
What is your favourite night to go out?
Also why do you think that Thursdays are such a big night?
I like Thursday nights the best for some reason, the clubs seem to filled with a higher quality of people and the events just seem to go better.
I think that it is becuae of uni night, but i cant understand why it has taken over Saturday night.

Thursdays.
As snooty as it sounds, uni people are generally better behaved, as they generally come from wealthier families and stuff. I know, i'm being very stereotypical, but can any of you really deny this?
Meh...thursdays are just better, plus i work every saturday and sunday, so if i have the day off uni on fridays, then it's better. Otherwise saturdays are the go. Friday is crap, except for Bass Station of course.

I think there is no doubt that Saturday is the bigger night. Just walk through the city and you can see that, but Thursday is definitely a big night for the 18-24 age groups due to uni night.
The poll should be which night do you prefer more rather then which is bigger.

As Kat said to me the other day, the weekend starts on thursday, and ends on tuesday. Wednesday is the chillout day. It'll never be as big as thursday. I thought it was meant to be the hospitallity industry night or something though, cos they usually work all weekends...meh...

Having said that, i can't think of any other thursday night crew that doesn't push some sort of commercial music other then soul-driven...

hehe Adam the edgy on a Wednesday! That’s rocking woot! **insert sarcasm**
I think Thursdays are big because as you all have pointed out it is a uni night and more intended for the younger clubbers who want to get drunk act like tools and have fun
Although that being said
I prefer Friday nights as my friends work during the week and normally don’t works Saturday mornings also the fact I have school so I would only be able to attend Thursday events when school was not to be held on a Friday so my weekend starts on Friday and finishes Sunday morning.
But another problem arises for me... as I work now on Friday night and become anti social I have to say Saturday night are my big nights out but I still don’t like them as much as Fridays I find a lot more pretentious people go out on Saturdays so there for makes me feel as though I have to be up to a certain standard ... or maybe its just the places I go out to but either way I still think Fridays are the best!

i think friday nights in Melbourne are really lacking in a decent Event. Saturdays are covered and so are thursday but friday nights are a drainer! SUnday nights use to be awsome in Summer but really suck now.
